Elisabeth_sorry for what?

A show by Giulia Spattini

With Giulia Spattini e Paolo Rosini

Age group: 14 – 18 y/o

A discussion that starts from the body on the relationship between femininity and power, inspired by the figure of Queen Elizabeth I. Elizabeth I in the course of her life was the architect of her own rebirth by becoming the virgin Queen, a contradiction that profoundly marked her internal struggle and the political world dominated by men with whom she had to contend. A struggle for survival; the construction of a new self through a complex image in order to save one’s deep nature. The stage, a contemporary ring, is the battlefield. The challenge is to take a stand. Choosing, building. No excuses. no alibis. Dodging blows, building new tactics, and leaving everything we know behind.

Giulia Spattini is an Italian performer and choreographer. From 2006 to 2009 she approached the study of theater, dance and singing at the Talento Art School in Modena, and in 2009 she became acquainted with the work of the Balletto Civile company, where she joined permanently in 2011. Other collaborations include one with Francesco Origo and one as a dancer in a short film directed by Oscar-winning director Paolo Sorrentino.
