From preadolescence onward, love knocks at our door in a new dress and often finds boys and girls unprepared. Storia di un No tells about Martina who is fourteen years old, has a carnivorous plant named Yvonne, has no designer clothes, no scooter, and no mom. Alessandro, a boy who wears designer clothes and is completely different from Martina, immediately falls in love with her. Or at least this is what he says. Storia di un No is the story of an encounter, of a first kiss that is not as it was imagined but is still beautiful, of families that are not as we would like them to be, of love being confused with possession. This is the story of Martina who chooses to think that she is enough and thus says stop, creating with her awareness a chain reaction that can change things.
Arione de Falco Company which is composed of Annalisa Arione and Dario Eduardo de Falco, is moved by the purpose of telling complex stories for new generations with lightness and curiosity. A common thread in all their productions is the encounter with otherness. Annalisa and Dario are also theater teachers, public speaking coaches for Treccani Accademia and storytelling teachers. Their play won the “Eolo Award 2022” for best teen theater production.
