ITC Teatro

The ITC Teatro is the municipal theater of San Lazzaro di Savena: born as a hall of the Istituto Tecnico Commerciale, from which it takes its name, it became at the end of the ’80s a point of reference for comedians and avant-garde artists.

The theater was reopened in 1998, and became, with the management of the Compagnia Teatro dell’Argine, one of the most active and popular in the region: 30,000 spectators a year in a city of 30,000 inhabitants, arriving to be, in the 2007-2008 season, the third theater in Italy due to the influx of visitors under the two hundred and fifty seats (behind the Piccolo Eliseo in Rome and the Teatro Filodrammatici in Milan).

Opened more than 200 days a year, the ITC Teatro hosts theater evenings, children’s theater, concerts, dance, poetry, paying particular attention to the role of public space open to the city, granting its spaces for free for more than 60 days. year to associations, institutions or institutions of the territory.
